Sweet cherry pie

I purchased a new phone today to hold me over for the next year that I have to survive with Telus. I hate Telus..but I do enjoy the people who work for Telus. BUT since I can't see their faces to see if they're hot or not, their pleasant ways and raspy voices are just not enough to keep me with their terrible, evil company.

In other news, NEW MOON HITS THEATRES IN...11 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no.

The worst thing ever happened today.

I've become a loser.

Oh no I'm one of "those" people!!

In the last two months or so I've picked up a nasty habit. Instead of going to the library OR sitting at my perfectly good (and quiet) desk at home, I go to a coffee shop to do my homework. I work better with a little background noise..and I secretly want people to distract me and talk to me so I get a little break without it REALLY being my doing. Because..you know, not speaking back to a person who speaks to you first would just be plain rude.

Anyway, today I innocently walked into the usual place. Selected a table, set my books down and walked up to the counter to order my drink. That's when the girl behind the counter confidently pipes up and proclaims "Soy london fog??"

CRAP.

I never wanted to be one of those predictable "can I get a large double double..and give me an extra cup with that, will ya?" types.

So even though I genuinely longed for my usual, I ordered a hot chocolate instead. AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE HOT CHOCOLATE!!!! So tomorrow I will walk in and appreciate people's super swell remembering skills & enjoy my regular beverage.

I would like to officially apologize for taking up two minutes of your day to read about my coffee shop "drama."

Here I am again. Already.

Impressed? ...I knew you would be.

I'm always amazed at how fast things can change. And change things did! Remember yesterday when I posted about giving my two weeks notice and telling my boss to shove it? WELLLL yeah, today my boss..the receptionist, and this other girl I work with sat me down and decided to try and convince me to stay. They told me how much they appreciate me (BS? probably.), how they couldn't imagine working without me (BS? fer sher.), and how they were about to hand me over a fat cheque that I would normally have to work over a month to earn (BS? negative.).. And how they were going to start paying me WHAT I'M WORTH last pay period. I was also informed that my "boss" would no longer be my boss, and that she is more than likely selling the business to a woman who I know would be awesome to work for & with.

Did I tell my boss to take her cheque & 50% commission and shove it up her spazoid arse? No, I did not..I accepted the offer and I'm surprisingly quite happy about it. It's funny though how it took me quitting to get what I've wanted all along..if only I knew that 4 years ago!

Enough of that.

Other things I am currently happy about:

• The 1 week extension on my history term paper. HOLLER! My instructor pushed the due date back because she thought having the midterm the week before a term paper was unfair. Yessssss!
• The jeans I ordered yesterday from american eagle that are on their way to my front doorstep as I type this. The only jeans I currently own are cropped. And it's getting a tad cold to walk around with bare shins.
  
• Grown up financial decisions that I need to make. Soon. Confusing, but mysteriously empowering to be doing something other than buying london fogs and car payments with my moola.
• The sweet summery candle I have burning next to me right now. (strawberry fields..mm)
• Choosing courses for next semester. Wonderful Mr. English instructor, here I come!

I'm baaaaaaaack!!!

Sooooo after my longest blogging hiatus to date, I have decided to enter back into Blogland. I'll try my hardest to visit as often as possible, but I clearly cannot make any promises. Here goes nothing!

I really REALLY REALLY miss......
I am NOT looking forward to.....
I am sad to say I have not had much time to use my....
Because I've been busy doing crazy amounts of.....
And because of ^^^^, I haven't been partaking in much...
..so I could really use one of these....or two.
Last week, after almost FOUR YEARS of hating my job, getting paid crap, putting up with an explosive boss, and not standing up for myself..I finally handed my boss one of these..
She was very unhappy with me (who cares?) because I am moving down the street to work at.....
And there you have it!!! My life update in a nutshell.

A few people have been asking to see the pictures I've done in the last couple days..I'm no where NEAR posting all of them yet, but there's a few to feast your eyes upon. I still have holiday/wedding/more maternity pictures to post :)

Hi auntie Marg!

So I promised you an update tonight..and here it is! It's not going to be much since it's almost midnight and I must get my butt to bed. I slept in this morning and missed training a new girl for facials. OOPS. So yes, early bedtime is a must.

I'll do a proper update tomorrow with a few pictures from our trip..annnd I'll attempt updating my 365s as well. Then after that I'll attempt to never get this far behind again.

I miss you guys already!!

I had a great time away..but I must say, it's good to be home!

I have like 1500 photos to upload..a week's worth of 365s to reveal (nothing too special, trust me lol), and about 2 suitcases full of laundry. Dang.

I'll get to it all soon. Very soon!
