10 things I love about life.

1. Sunshine. But not just any sunshine. The sunshine that looks warm and yellow RIGHT before the sun hides its face behind the mountains...oh summer, how I long for thee!

2. Books so good you purposely slow down your reading pace to savour every last word.

3. Bob Dylan.

4. Photography.

5. Cabernet sauvignon.

6. Rain. But not just any rain. The rain that falls so seriously it bounces off the pavement.

7. Birkenstock.

8. Family/Friends who you can be 100% yourself around.

9. Grace.

10. Laughing so hard your stomach hurts.

10 things I hate about life.

1. Negative people (HA! oh the irony..)

2. When you're in the shower and the friggin shower curtain won't stick to the bathtub, but instead feels the need to stick to you.

3. People who think they're equivalent to a college professor because they've made it past psychology 102. Go fly a kite, big shots.

4. Automated blog music.

5. Ungratefulness.

6. Passive aggressive facebook statuses. If you have that big of a problem with someone, grow some balls and tell them.

7. Starbucks snobs.

8. Spilled wine. (forget about spilled milk!)

9. People who leave opened canned salmon on the counter all day at work.

10. Chicago/turabian style citation..kill me now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

No seriously, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe my first post of the year is happening 2 days into the second month of the year. Shame. Pure shame. I just haven't had anything interesting to blog about. Heck, I still don't!

But I DO have something to share with all of you lovely people. If there are any lovely people left..I know I wouldn't frequent a blog that hasn't been touched in over two months. DANG...

Anyways, I've decided it's high time I get back in touch with my camera, also known as Gretchen. I considered starting another 365 project. It seemed like such a swell idea. But then I realized how boring it got to try and think of 365 different ways to take a picture of myself...soooooooo....

I AM indeed doing a 365 project. But this one will be different...Rarely will I be in the photo. Each photo will be dedicated to something different. Whether it be a person, an object, different forms of photography, seasons, lighting, colours, etc, etc etc....so stay tuned!

Here's to hoping I can pull this one off!!! Check out the link to my project over there ------>

I'll miss you, Moe...

This morning we had to have my little dog put to sleep :( He was 16 years old & was definitely a part of our family. Moe was a feisty little thing who picked carefully who he liked, but when he decided he DID like someone..he never forgot them. He was obsessed with cheese & ice cream, and absolutely terrified of frogs and little boys (he was abused before he came to our home.) Moe weighed under 5 pounds, but never thought twice about barking at the ankle of any 50 pound dog that stepped foot on his property. But most of all, Moe was the greatest little dog I've ever known. I'll miss you forever..

Calling all nerds!!!

Have you read any good books lately??? If so, do tell :) I plan on devouring at least 3 books this Christmas break, but my "books to read" list isn't looking too appealing right now...

I'll end this now because I have nothing interesting to say.

Goodbye.

You know you're in denial about winter when....

...you buy sandals online in the middle of November. I think I'll wrap them up and give them to myself for Christmas :)

Hi, I'm 60.

My latest homework distraction has been learning to knit (thanks grandma!) and then learning to crochet (thanks Bonnie!) That scarf you see there, yeah, so far its taken me a good three weeks to get that much done. And that hot pad that will soon look like a toque is my first ever toque. I plan on becoming an expert toque maker..seriously. I should be pro by the time summer graces us with its presence again.

One day I will be RIDICULOUSLY skilled at knitting and I'll be able to make that snazzy full body suit you see up there in the first picture. I'm taking pre-orders now. Leave your name & $2000 in my mailbox before next Friday.

Bonnie, I'm pretty sure I stole that picture from your blog like 2 years ago because I thought it was the creepiest thing I had ever seen in my entire life.
